Stocks to watch: Olam, A-Reit, Otto Marine, Tuan Sing, Trek 2000, Starhill Global Reit

THE following stocks may be in focus on Thursday:

OLAM International on Thursday said it has acquired a 100 per cent interest in the largest Alabama-based sheller, Brooks Peanut Company, at its enterprise value of US$85 million.

THE manager of Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (A-Reit) on Thursday said the trust has agreed to sell A-Reit Jiashan Logistics Centre in China for S$26 million.

OTTO Marine's executive chairman and controlling shareholder, Yaw Chee Siew, has proposed a voluntary delisting for the offshore and marine player amid a protracted industry downturn.

LUXURY property developer Tuan Sing announced a 90:10 joint venture with private Singapore developer Habitat Properties to develop a site in Marina City, Batam, into an integrated mixed development township. The stake in the relevant special purpose vehicles will cost Tuan Sing S$39.15 million.

THUMB-DRIVE maker Trek 2000 International has appointed RSM Corporate Advisory as forensic accountants to help in an independent review of certain interested party transactions.

STARHILL Global Reit announced the new base rents for its Toshin master lease, which is 5.5 per cent higher than the existing rate, and is effective for three years starting June 8, 2016.
