Taiwan stocks end down 3% at lowest level in over 2 years
[TAIPEI] Taiwan stocks closed down 3.0 per cent, finishing at their lowest level since June 2013 on continued weakness in China and other regional and global markets.
The market had opened down and tracked lower throughout the session, following heavy falls on Wall Street and among tech shares in particular.
Depressing sentiment further, Taiwan's export orders contracted by a wider-than-expected margin in July, data released on Thursday showed.
