Taiwan: Stocks flat; glass and ceramics shares fall
[TAIPEI] Taiwan stocks were little changed on Friday morning, slightly trailing regional markets with losses in glass and ceramics shares keeping gains in check.
The main TAIEX index was higher 4.47 points at 9,717.31 as of 0126 GMT, after closing up 0.2 per cent on Thursday.
The glass and ceramics subindex was the worst-performing among all with a drop of 1 per cent.
Banks and insurance firms dropped 0.34 per cent.
The electronics subindex was up 0.19 per cent, with semiconductors trading flat.
The Taiwan dollar was up T$0.153 at T$30.648 to the US dollar.
