Taiwan: Stocks hits 10,000-point mark for first time in 15 years

[TAIPEI] Taiwan's benchmark index hits the 10,000-point milestone for the first time since 2000 on Monday as market sentiment was boosted by foreign buying and strong gains on the Nasdaq and Asian bourses.
As of 0218 GMT, the main TAIEX index was up 0.8 per cent to 10,002 points, a level not seen since 2000.
