Taiwan: Stocks stabilise; techs, banks flat
[TAIPEI] Taiwan stocks were little changed on Thursday as investors took a pause after recent volatilities, with banks and electronics sectors steady.
About 30 minutes into trade, the main TAIEX index had edged up 0.2 per cent to 9,869.47, after losing 1 per cent in the prior session.
The two most heavily-weighted sectors, financial and electronics, were both flat.
Taiwan markets will be closed on Friday for the Labour Day.
The Taiwan dollar jumped 0.612 per cent to T$30.507 to the US dollar.
