Tokyo: Nikkei closes higher on US rallies

[TOKYO] Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei index closed higher on Friday following rallies on Wall Street in cautious trade ahead of the British parliament's vote on a new Brexit deal.
The Nikkei 225 index rose 0.18 per cent, or 40.82 points, to 22,492.68, but the broader Topix index was down 0.13 per cent, or 2.17 points, at 1,621.99.
