[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks dropped Monday as lingering worries about the war of words between the United States and North Korea offset better-than-expected Japanese economic growth.
Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.98 per cent, or 192.64 points, to close at 19,537.10, while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues fell 1.12 per cent, or 18.19 points, to 1,599.06.
