Tokyo: Shares fall marginally, eyes on North Korea tensions

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed marginally lower Thursday with markets on edge over US-North Korea tensions, but Japanese cosmetics giant Shiseido surged on upbeat earnings.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.05 per cent, or 8.97 points, to 19,729.74, while the Topix index of all first-section issues edged down 0.04 per cent, or 0.65 points, at 1,617.25.
