[TOKYO] Tokyo shares jumped on Monday, climbing for a third straight session, as global investors cheered healthy US jobs data while the falling yen also lifted the Japanese bourse.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 1.65 per cent, or 354.83 points, to close at 21,824.03, while the broader Topix index advanced 1.51 per cent, or 25.82 points, to 1,741.30.
