[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened 0.65 per cent higher Tuesday, recovering from losses the previous session ahead of a Bank of Japan meeting later in the day and a much-anticipated interest rate decision from the US Federal Reserve this week.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 117.02 points to 18,082.72 in the first minutes of trading.
