Tokyo: Shares open lower after Wall Street fall
[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Tuesday following falls on Wall Street where high-tech shares were hit hard.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.94 per cent or 277.63 points at 29,240.71 in early trade, while the broader Topix index lost 0.64 per cent or 12.59 points to 1,939.68.
