Tokyo: Shares open lower as US manufacturing growth slows

[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened lower on Tuesday after Wall Street mostly fell on the latest disappointing manufacturing sector data.
The Nikkei 225 index dipped 0.71 per cent, or 195.98 points, to 27,585.04, while the broader Topic index dropped 0.61 per cent, or 11.89 points, to 1,928.16.
