Tokyo: Stocks close 0.39% lower

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks ended 0.39 per cent lower on Wednesday, giving up earlier gains as ongoing worries about China's economic woes weighed on the Asian market.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange closed 70.29 per cent lower to 18,095.40, while the Topix index of all first section shares was down 0.82 per cent, or 12.12 points, at 1,465.99.
