Tokyo: Stocks close higher on weak yen

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks rose moderately on Friday, helped by Wall Street rallies and a cheaper yen against the US dollar.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.50 per cent or 113.14 points to close at 22,851.75, while the broader Topix index was up 0.29 per cent or 5.15 points at 1,789.04.
