[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks fell Thursday with banks leading the decline as minutes from the US Federal Reserve's June meeting fuelled uncertainty about its plans for US monetary policy.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 lost 0.44 per cent, or 87.57 points, to 19,994.06 while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues slipped 0.19 per cent, or 3.10 points, to 1,615.53.
