Tokyo: Stocks close up 0.39%

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed 0.39 per cent higher on Friday, after Wall Street advanced and as a weaker yen boosted exporter shares.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 68.17 points to 17,674.39, while the Topix index of all first-section shares gained 0.11 per cent, or 1.49 points, to end at 1,415.07.
