Tokyo: Stocks end flat ahead of US data, trade talks

[TOKYO] Tokyo's benchmark Nikkei index ended flat on Tuesday as investors looked for direction ahead of key US data and US-Canada trade talks.
The Nikkei 225 index was down 0.05 per cent or 10.48 points to close at 22,696.90, while the broader Topix index fell 0.12 per cent or 2.07 points at 1,717.24.
