[TOKYO] Tokyo shares opened flat on Friday ahead of a key US employment report later in the day.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 15.98 points to 16,883.12 in the first minutes of trade, while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues edged down 1.15 points to 1,352.78.
