Tokyo: Stocks flat in opening deals on Friday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened flat on Friday, following two days of losses as a weak lead from global markets and figures showing Japanese inflation stood at zero in February weighed on sentiment.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange opened 10.67 points higher at 16,903.00, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares edged down 1.01 points to 1,353.60.
