Tokyo: Stocks open higher after Wall St records

    [TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher Monday, taking a positive lead from record highs on Wall Street, with bargain-hunters also in the buying market after the benchmark Nikkei index fell for four straight sessions.

    The Nikkei 225 index rose 0.92 per cent, or 207.33 points, to 22,760.55 in early trade. The broader Topix index was up 0.76 per cent, or 13.56 points, at 1,807.03.
