Tokyo: Stocks open higher after Wall Street rally

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Friday, with sentiment buoyed by a rally on Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index, which plunged 3.7 per cent on Thursday, turned up 0.60 per cent or 126.75 points, to 21,395.48 in early trade while the broader Topix index was up 0.59 per cent or 9.37 points at 1,610.29.
