[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Thursday, extending rallies on Wall Street after the Federal Reserve signalled a more muscular stance on inflation.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 1.41 per cent or 400.67 points at 28,860.39 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 1.11 per cent or 22.10 points at 2,006.20.
