Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Friday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Friday after the Dow edged to another record close in New York.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.32 per cent, or 63.86 points, to 20,163.67 in the first few minutes of trading, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.38 per cent, or 6.22 points, at 1,625.33.
