Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Monday
[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday extending gains on Wall Street as worries about inflation in the United States ease.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.67 per cent or 188.20 points at 28,272.67 in early trade, while the broader Topix index gained 0.73 per cent or 13.70 points to 1,897.12.
