[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Friday extending rallies on Wall Street with investors focused on corporate earnings.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.35 per cent or 99.01 points at 28,296.43 in early trade, while the broader Topix index gained 0.16 per cent or 3.00 points to 1,841.85.
