Tokyo: Stocks open lower

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Thursday with electronics firms falling on a strong yen and drops in US technology stocks.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.19 per cent, or 37.65 points, to 19,845.87 in early trade while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.18 per cent, or 2.85 points, at 1,588.92.
