Tokyo: Stocks open lower after Wall St drop

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Friday, tracking losses on Wall Street as investors focused on Federal Reserve and Bank of Japan meetings next week for trading cues.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell 0.19 per cent, or 30.90 points, to 16,637.51 in opening deals, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares was down 0.12 per cent, or 1.60 points, at 1,335.81.
