Tokyo: Stocks open lower as trade worries resurface

    [TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Tuesday, tracking losses in global markets as investors fret over the latest flare-up in the China-US trade war.

    The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 0.42 per cent, or 88.50 points, at 21,213.23 in early trade, while the Topix index was down 0.44 per cent, or 6.84 points, at 1,548.08.
