Tokyo: Stocks open up

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Thursday as worries over a US-China trade war receded.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 0.65 per cent, or 140.96 points, at 21,743.71 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 0.44 per cent, or 7.04 points, at 1,613.65.
