NO American Express (Amex)? No problem. Apple Pay now works with credit and debit cards of local banks and major financial services corporations, The Business Times has learnt.
As of 5.30am on Wednesday, various MasterCard and Visa cardholders of banks DBS, OCBC, POSB, Standard Chartered and UOB can sign up for Apple Pay. This comes a little over a month after the mobile-payment service launched in Singapore - but only to eligible Amex credit card holders.
