CSC, HP Enterprise merge to become IT services giant
Combined entity boasts US$26 billion of revenue and serves 5,000 organisations in 70 countries

FOR months now, there's been a huge shake-out among companies that provide technology services to corporations, government agencies and large organisations, and the biggest may have come last week, with broad ramifications for businesses in the Washington area.
Tysons Corner, Virginia-based Computer Sciences Corp (CSC) announced that it is merging with the services business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (HP Enterprise) out of Plano, Texas, in what executives for the companies said would create the world's largest pure IT services company with US$26 billion of revenue.
