[SINGAPORE] Firms should use a variety of security products from different vendors, so as to best protect themselves against cybercrime and espionage, said a senior security industry executive.
Brian Witten, senior director of engineering at Symantec, said that companies should be aware of the many intrusion points through which hackers can gain entry to their systems. He added: "No one vendor has every category covered."
Many large security vendors such as Symantec have a broad portfolio of products that address various market needs, but smaller firms which specialise in some areas can get in deeper and help to form a stronger force against cyber criminals.
