Japan's Nintendo says Apr-Dec net profit surges six-fold to US$504m
[TOKYO] Japanese videogame giant Nintendo said on Wednesday its April-December net profit soared six-fold to US$504 million as a sharply weaker yen boosted its bottom line and offset slowing sales.
The firm also raised its annual net profit forecast to 30 billion yen (S$343 million) up from an earlier 20 billion yen estimate, but the Super Mario creator trimmed sales and operating profit forecasts for the fiscal year ended March 31.
