Misperceptions hinder S'pore adoption of SaaS: survey
Microsoft committed to ensuring customers' data privacy: official
LACK of security and privacy continues to be the main concern holding back large organisations in Singapore from utilising Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings such as Office 365, finds a recent Microsoft survey.
The survey showed that 50 per cent of the 125 respondents from Singapore indicated a lack of privacy as the most common concern. This was followed by 33 per cent of participants stating SaaS not being secure enough.
Conducted in late 2013, the online survey polled 2,017 of its channel partners to find out what end-users are thinking and doing about cloud computing, and SaaS in particular. Apart from Singapore, the channel partners are based in 11 Asia-Pacific markets, including Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and South Korea.
