New EZ-Link app available on Android
Special SIM cards allow users to top up cards on mobile
[SINGAPORE] EZ-Link Pte Ltd has launched a new application that allows Singaporeans to top up their ez-link stored value cards with their NFC-enabled Android phones, doing away with the need to queue at designated kiosks.
NFC or Near Field Communication, enables the exchange of data between devices over short distances. NFC services were first introduced in Singapore slightly over a year ago.
The locally developed application - My EZ-Link Mobile - not only transforms NFC handsets into portable personal top-up devices, it also allows users to view their card transaction history in the last 30 days and card balance, manage up to 10 ez-link cards and even personalize it.
