WITH 2014 marking its 25th year of operations in the Asia-Pacific, including Japan, German software major SAP AG is cautiously upbeat about growth despite slowdown and uncertainties in some markets.

Adaire Fox-Martin, SAP's chief operating officer for the Asia-Pacific region, quoted World Bank growth forecasts to indicate that global growth is set to accelerate this year as advanced economies turn a corner, five years after the global financial crisis.

"Growth is projected to strengthen to 3.2 per cent this year, 3.4 per cent in 2015, and 3.6 per cent in 2016 - up from 2.4 per cent in 2013," she noted.
