The future is retro for ThinkPad 25

IN what is considered a feat in the tech world, Lenovo this month unveiled the 25th and latest model of the ThinkPad - its iconic line of black boxy laptops and tablets that have become popular with enterprises for its robustness and functionality.
That the ThinkPad has lasted - much less evolved - over a quarter of a century is a tech accomplishment, given that the lifespan of electronic products could be 13.3 years (see table), and only getting shorter in this age of rapid technological disruption.
