Twitter cuts as much as 8% of workforce

[SAN FRANCISCO] Twitter Inc's Jack Dorsey is making his first round of job cuts, a week after being appointed chief executive officer.
The social-media company said on Tuesday that it was letting go of as many as 336 employees, or about 8 percent, of its global workforce. Twitter, which has been reorganizing its product and engineering departments over the past year, employs 4,100 people, according to its website.
