Asian sports market still at early growth stage: Sport Singapore CEO
[SINGAPORE] The Asian sports market is still in its relatively early stages of growth, said Sport Singapore chief executive officer Lim Teck Yin on Wednesday.
Speaking at the opening of the Sports Matters conference at Marina Bay Sands, Mr Lim cited figures that showed how the total value of sports sponsorship in Asia is only a small fraction of what is spent globally.
Sport Singapore, which until recently was known as the Singapore Sports Council, is a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.
