Businessman to fund, build, operate int'l-standard track
Arina MD believes in letting the product 'do the talking'
[SINGAPORE] With a S$2 million investment to build a circuit and total rental of close to half a million dollars, plus the fee for a world-renowned Formula One (F1) track designer, karting enthusiast Richard Tan is not expecting to break even after the first three years of operation.
But the managing director of Arina International Holding believes in letting the product "do the talking" and says that is why he is funding, constructing and operating the KF1 Karting Circuit on the grounds of the Singapore Turf Club in Kranji.
Despite the many difficulties faced in project planning and obtaining the various approvals from the authorities, the job satisfaction is immeasurable.
