Fancy a pair of boots signed by Beckham?
They are among 22 celebrity items up for grabs in an auction organised by MBS as part of its 'Sands for Singapore' Festival
Singapore
THERE are just six days left to get your hands on a pair of football boots autographed by David Beckham or a set of boxing gloves signed by Manny Pacquiao, and to do your part for charity in the process. These and 20 other items are going under the hammer at the "Celebrities Give Back to Singapore" auction organised by Marina Bay Sands (MBS), as part of its "Sands for Singapore" Festival.
The festival is the integrated resort's annual corporate social responsibility programme, which takes place from Aug 1-3. Auction proceeds will go to two local charities. One is The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, which helps underprivileged children aged five to 19 develop their talents in music, dance, theatre and the visual arts; the other is The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, which gives a monthly stipend to students from low-income homes to help them with school-related expenses.
