HONG KONG has become the second location where Singapore travellers and businessmen can get into speedily because of a mutual arrangement for automated immigration clearance.

This arrangement, agreed between Singapore and Hong Kong, was announced by Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) on Wednesday, as Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong kicked off a two-day official visit here.

The ICA said that holders of Singapore passports may sign up for the e-Channel services in Hong Kong from Sept 22, 2014.
