Govt finalising plans to extend re-employment age to 67
[SINGAPORE] The government is finalising plans to extend the re-employment age to 67 years from the current age of 65, Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower Amy Khor said in Parliament yesterday.
Dr Khor confirmed that more details will be released later this year, as the Tripartite Committee on the Employability of Older Workers (Tricom) is working out the plans to execute this, including legal changes and reviewing its guidelines on wage adjustment.
However, she said that society must also change its mindset together with this policy.
