IDA launches probe into SingTel fire
Data protection firm estimates breakdown of services could have cost as much as $300,000 an hour

THE cost of lost connectivity as a result of the recent SingTel fire could have run into as much as $300,000 an hour, data protection company Veeam Software has said.
And even as organisations tot up the cost of downtime and loss of access to data services, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has launched an investigation into the blaze at the Bukit Panjang Exchange, saying it will take "appropriate action" to prevent such a service disruption from happening again.
