NS feedback committee to be revamped into three councils
Move will strengthen community's support for defence and NS

A 30-YEAR-OLD committee that provides feedback to the government on National Service (NS) will be restructured into three separate councils, Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen announced yesterday.
The plan is to change the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (Accord) into the Employer and Business Council, the Educational Institutions Council, and the Family and Community Council, he said in his ministry's addendum to President Tony Tan Keng Yam's recent address to Parliament.
