Pay hike likely for S'pore finance and accounting execs
But in Europe it's mostly pay cut or freeze: survey
[SINGAPORE] Finance and accounting professionals here can expect a pay rise this year, the latest research by recruitment firm Robert Half showed.
In a survey conducted among 2,431 chief financial officers in 16 countries - of which 150 are from Singapore - 55 per cent of companies are paying more to finance and accounting professionals, with the trend set to continue.
Apart from Singapore, five countries where salaries in the sector are increasing are China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia and Brazil. The majority of countries surveyed, especially those in Europe, are either freezing or cutting salaries.
