PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong kicked off a two-day official visit to Hong Kong on Wednesday with him and Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying reaffirming "strong" bilateral ties, including "frequent exchanges", between the two former British colonies.
On the final leg of an eight-day trip to southern China and Hong Kong that began last Thursday, Mr Lee and his host discussed developments in Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China when the two met on Wednesday evening, said a brief statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
Mr Lee, who last visited Hong Kong in 2001, began his day with a visit to the City Gallery where he spent over an hour being briefed by Hong Kong's Chief Planner KK Ling and touring the gallery.
