Search set to be launched for new LNG importers

EMA finalising details through a gas demand survey that closes at the end of the month

[SINGAPORE] After over two years of careful study, Singapore is finally set to launch the search proper next month for up to two new importers for the next tranche of liquefied natural gas (LNG) needed by power plants and industries here.

Regulator Energy Market Authority (EMA) is now nailing down final details through a gas demand survey it launched yesterday, that will close at the end of this month.

Among other nitty-gritty, it will also seek updated feedback from gas users on their projected gas demand from 2015 to 2025.
