Singapore Day is in for the long haul
THE annual Singapore Day celebrations - held in a major city each year to bring together overseas citizens and give them a taste of home - will continue for the foreseeable future.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Grace Fu said it served as an important avenue for Singaporeans abroad to stay connected with one another and their country.
"Singaporeans overseas welcome it, and whether you know each other or not, the fact that you are there with your countrymen, that's a great feeling," she said on the sidelines of the latest Singapore Day, held at the picturesque Victoria Park in London last Saturday.
