SNEF chief Stephen Lee steps down after 26 years
Robert Yap of YCH Group takes over on Sept 1
[SINGAPORE] The man who guided Singapore companies through four economic downturns is stepping down as president of the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) at the end of next month after 26 years at the helm.
Stephen Lee, 67, who has been chief of the employers' trade union since 1988, will be replaced by Robert Yap on Sept 1.
Dr Yap is the chief executive and chairman of homegrown supply chain management and logistics company YCH Group. The 62-year-old is also one of four SNEF vice-presidents.
